Many businesses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are now allowed to open, including all shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, except in areas where there are local lockdowns.

Some businesses must remain closed, and others can only open with restrictions (for example only allowed to serve outdoors).

Local authority environmental health and trading standards officers are usually responsible for enforcing regulations around the closure of businesses.
