Crime Mapping: Data tables
Monthly wards table (Rolling data)
Monthly boroughs table (Rolling data)
Year end figures (Fixed)
MPS Crime Performance Data Changes
Crime data is extracted from the crime reporting information system (CRIS) every month.
As small changes can be made to figures to reflect developments in investigations - for example,
we could determine that a crime recorded as a burglary was actually criminal damage, so the crime
would be reclassified on the system to provide the most accurate picture - these crime figures are
subject to change. For this reason, the ‘rolling data ’ figures will be updated every
month (round the 15th). When a complete year‘s data is no longer included in the rolling data,
it will be fixed
As a result of the above, you should avoid storing or using old sets of Met crime data,
as they may not exactly match current published figures.
